How much does it cost?
€ 2.00 per month per domain. Effectively. Excluding VAT.
Effectively?
Due to the high transaction costs on small payments, we can not accept payments
of € 2.00.
We'd lose about 25% of that in transaction costs.
To avoid these costs, we work with a credits system. You deposit money into your account, which is then turned into credits. You get 1 credit for each eurocent (excluding VAT).
So how does this work?
- You can make deposits in your account of at least € 6.00
- When you add a domain, we will deduct 200 credits from your account
- Every month after that, we will again deduct 200 credits from your account
If you cancel your account, we will not return the remaining balance. We might make exceptions to this in special circumstances.
What about VAT?
We have to charge 19% VAT (Value Added Tax, a form of sales tax), except if you qualify for one of the following:
- You are a business in the EU, but not in the Netherlands, and can give us your valid VAT number
- You are a private person or a business outside of the EU
So, if you are required to pay VAT and want to buy 600 credits,
you will have to pay € 7.14. That's € 6.00 for 600 credits, and
€ 1.14 VAT.
If you do are not required to pay VAT, 600 credits will simply cost you € 6.00.
If you are required to pay VAT and deposit € 10.00 into your account, you will receive 840 credits. We deduct € 1.60 VAT from the deposit, and then turn the remainder into credits.
Note that all VAT numbers will be verified. Trying to use someone else's VAT number, or entering a false address to avoid VAT, will result in immediate and permanent cancellation of your account.
What happens if my account balance is low?
- If you can pay for less than one month, we will send you a daily reminder
- If we can not deduct credits for a domain, we will stop the service for that domain, until you add credits.
If a domain is disabled, because you did not have sufficient credits on the billing date,
you will receive an e-mail. You will also receive an e-mail when it is reactivated.
We will not deduct credits for the period in which a domain was disabled.
